Did you not listen to me? I read reviews, the hosting company you get this "unlimited" hosting from has asked people on their unlimited account (using as low as 5g space/40g bandwidth) to buy a dedicated server. You cant just give away such a high amount of space/bandwidth for free. Its rediculas, wouldnt work, etc. Honestly, if your giving away free hosting, 50mb space/1gb bandwidth probably would be more than enough... Ok, done that. Your right. Thanks for your help. ;D Oliver

And 40GB of bandwidth per month? That's crazy! For a normal website, that's just plain uncalled for. The largest site I work on takes a total of 167MB of space (we host full length movies, mind you), and uses about 6GB of bandwidth per month. And we also use that server as our Unreal Tournament 2003 server and the bandwidth from that is included in the total. =P Angeltowns offer unlimited bandwith. So it is possible. You don't know what you're talking about either. You say you only allow 40GB of transfer, but unrestricted bandwidth?? You do realise they are the SAME THING?! lol

There is no such thing as an Unlimited gigabite hard drive, is there? No. Where do you think servers store there information? Hard drives. So how could you get infinate space? And think if they actually offered all of their users that.
And as for bandwidth... bandwidth relies on network speed. No standard network goes faster than 1000mbps, so you'll never get more than that out of a server. And you'll never even get that much, because gigabit lines directly to major datacenters would cost more money than you can dream of.

I also hate when they ask for your name, address, and other personal info. Its like you basically need to give them everything just for a little web space

Angeltowns offer unlimited bandwith. So it is possible. Angeltowns don't allow hotlinking, reselling, banner exchanges, chatroom, background scripts, or any other high load software to be run, and they have the standard "eccessive usage" clause in their TOS. They also don't offer free accounts, and most likely fund the bigger accounts on their servers by overselling (on the basis that not everyone will use all the space available to them, or have a high traffic website).

I am sorry, but Angeltowns does allow Banner Exchange. They do not have any advertising and before running my own web hosting and domain they were the ones I used. They dont restrict on file size at all, bandwith is "unmetered".
They ask you for information cause we are obligated by law. We can't just give a website without that information, there is already enough trash out there as it is.
Think what you want. Unlimited or unmetered bandwith exist, especially on Lc Web Hosting and the other free one that what's his name was promoting.
Bottom line... look for what you need and for the price you want !

You can shut up now. Really you can There is no such thing as unmetered anything. Hard drives get full, bandwith get's used....were are you going to get the other space/bandwith? Out of your pants? Seriously, read the other posts in this thread, and please, if you don't know anything, don't say anything (There probably is "unmetred hosting" but you have to pay for all the new hard drives and stuff:P)

Bandwith can be unmetered you idiot. Their is such a thing, why do you think HS Internet is not metered. They only say or charge for limits but they don't have to !
So why don't you stop talking about something you obviously don't know. I am on the Angeltowns system and NEVER had my bandwith metered, or had a message stating that my bandwith was exceeded or anything, I can put large videos on my server and my bandwith won't be affected at all. EVER !
So, shut up yourself !

I don't care that you put large video's on your server and nobody ever looked at them. Look, if you have a server with 80G and you monthly bandwith is 200G. Then, somebody tries to upload 100G of stuff, and all of your hosted websites use 200G bandwith, ad then everything stops working because 1) Person can't upload 100G is the hard drive is 80G, and 2)You cannot exeed 200G bandwith because that is just not possible. pwn

I wouldn't host my website with you for anything in the world. I read 1 pages of replies, you are a n00b. I hate n00b hosts.
