With a Proboard do you think it's possible to appear in search results on Google? How do I go about doing this for my forum?

When I was running my Star Trek RP, if someone typed Star Trek RP into Google, my forum was on the first page of the search results. What helps is having a separate website that links to a lot of pages on your forum. For example, I had a "Timeline" section on my website that described each plot that we had done and had links to each thread from that plot. I think that really helped with my ranking.

Does anyone remember back in like 2006-2010 how easy it was to get your forum listed on google? Now a days I can't even figure out the way to do it anymore. Maybe I'm just dumb or something but I've had no luck finding a way to get any new site I make listed.

Yeah. That's because you're now competing with 25 years of cultivated search results and literally billions of websites. Regulations on how forums are indexed are also stricter as part of the ease of getting good SEO in the day was to literally spam unrelated keywords on your website and ads.
