buying an iPod in nyc? =\

hey,

earlier today i was walking around in new york city and i decided to walk into one of those little stores that often has "one hour photo" on it's sign and is jam-packed with thousands of various electronics. while browsing the vast array of enticing products, my eyes locked onto a small box that contained... an iPod. i instantly wanted to buy it, but some questions came to mind:

what if these guys are trying to screw me? what if i bring it home and it doesn't work? who would i go to? what happens if in two weeks it stops working?

so, with all of that, i'm just wondering: is it safe buying an iPod from a store in downtown manhatten?

First off how much was the Ipod? And was it in the original boxing?

Yes, it was in the official iPod box, and i saw prices anywhere from $230 to $350.

It was a like store? Sometimes people sell fake objects, like if you walk into a game store you see some toy X-box or something. You should see how it look with the box, before you buy it from the store...or try going to another familiar store

I would get it elsewhere. You could get screwed on warranty issues.
