v1.0.2 is available, that has hopefully fixed the compatibility issue with the Smilie plug-in

Wonderful Todge - are smilies likely to be deleted with history or is that OK as well?? RF

Oddly when I upgraded to the new plugin version, I started getting the img src glitch, whereas it was working fine before I upgraded. XD; I suppose I'll revert back to the older version for the time being.
EDIT: And now version 1.0.1 isn't working correctly either. :/ Though I just noticed that editing a post with the broken smilies and adding new ones underneath the original ones, will make the original smilies work, though the ones added during the modification of the post are glitched. Strange.

Now that you say that, it reminded me that I had to go back to the original version as well after installing 1.0.1. I posted that somewhere on this thread. I forget why I had to do that!

The smilies are working very well for us Todge - the [img src=" seems to have totally disappeared but so does the list of smilies when logging out and the cache is emptied... Unless that can be changed them it just isn't feasible for us - some rarely delete cache but others daily... Why do they disappear?? I mean the smilies are hosted on our Photobucket account?? RF

Now, I remember why I had to go back to version one. The second, and now this one, won't display personal smilies in IE.
They are now showing in Chrome, but that's because I had to reload them back into my profile page. They weren't showing previously because I had logged out and they disappeared with that action. However, they remained in IE because I hadn't logged out in that browser.
So one browser's action doesn't affect the others.
It's like a marquee scroll I have. Displays fine in Chrome and FF ~ but not in IE. This cross browser stuff is wickedly frustrating.

Tell me about it.
As I've said elsewhere, I am running XP, and so can not use IE9, so finding errors in that browser is nigh impossible, unfortunately.
Make sure this plugin is above the smilie dropdown plugin in your admin panels, that's the order I have them, and I no longer get the '[img src="' error.
As for the browser forgetting the smilies, I'll be creating a new version that uses a key to store them, that will fix the issue, but will limit the amount of smilies you can save.

I love XP and wish I never went to Windows 7. If I get another computer, I think I'd go back to XP. You can't view animations in 7 ~ unless you connect to the web. You can't have animated wallpaper either. In XP, the animations showed right on the desktop. In 7, if you don't open them on the web, you see the first frame only. I think I'd prefer less smilies with the ability to maintain them. Losing the info is quite frustrating. Trying to explain it to members even more so!

v1.0.3 is now available.. This version stores your smilies in a key, and so they should not disappear when you clear your browser's history/storage. BUT, as space is limited, you can only save up to 25 smilies using this version.

I'm really puzzled Todge as both plug-ins will work OK on my test forum but not on my main forum….

I'm still having the img src glitch as well with 1.0.3. Everything works fine until I post at which point I just get the string of code. The plugin is also the top plugin on our list currently.
