Hello folks, Robert here.
This is my first time setting up a discussion Forum, although I'm not new to computers, nor to Forums. I've been gaming for almost 40 years now, starting with a Commodore 64 in 1985, then Amiga, and finally PC. About 25 years ago, I had a tiny Geocities site, focused on Empire Deluxe, an old strategy game. So yeah, I'm an oldtimer, in my 60's now.
For about the last 20 years, I've been "building" Lots (ie, houses) for Sims 2 (originally released in 2004), which is still a popular game. Many players say it's the best iteration in the Sims franchise. That's what brings me here, because I'm in the process of setting up a Forum to allow players to view and download my Lots. I should have looked into this years ago because a Forum structure seems ideal for a custom content creator such as myself.
All that said, my Forum boards will be mostly "Reply Only", with only one board open for members to start their own threads, and even then they have to stay on the topic of Sims 2 Lot building or related subjects.
I'm not sure what I'm going to call it yet, Rob's something or other, but I think in a couple of weeks month or two my Forum should go live.
